Dr. Emillie Ficek is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in the vast and beautiful landscapes of the state. With a deep appreciation for nature and a love for outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping, she has always cherished the opportunities that Alaska provides. From an early age, Dr. Ficek was driven by a desire to help animals, so she pursued a career in veterinary medicine. She then graduated from the combined veterinary program offered by the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Colorado State University. Driven by their passion for the human-animal bond, Dr. Ficek found their true calling in small animal medicine. They believe in the importance of being there for pets throughout their entire lives, from the joyful moment they become part of a family to the time when goodbyes must be said. Dr. Ficek holds a special interest in preventative medicine, recognizing that proactive care plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and longevity of beloved animal companions. Additionally, she has interests in dentistry and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Ficek eagerly anticipates the opportunity to serve the people and pets of the Kenai Peninsula. She is eager to meet new clients and forge meaningful connections, providing compassionate and skilled veterinary care to all those who entrust their furry family members to their expertise. Dr. Ficek and her husband are accompanied by their spirited rescue dog Moana. In her spare time, Dr. Ficek enjoys exploring the Alaskan wilderness and gardening.
